Wm. Farmer and Sons – Boarding

Whether you're looking for a romantic getaway, a family trip with the baby (and the dog too) or a more apartment-like suite for a longer stay, Wm. Farmer & Sons have just the room for you.

A Boutique Hotel in Hudson, NY

Wm Farmer & Sons is part of The Handmade Hospitality® Group, providing a variety of unique experiences on Front Street in Hudson, NY. With over a dozen rooms, each with one-of-a-kind qualities, Wm Farmer and Sons offers unprecedented hospitality in three beautiful locations—all a very short walk from their restaurant and barroom. Here’s some info about these gorgeous buildings:

The Merchant House

The Hudson Merchant House is a beautiful historical property right next door to the main building and barroom. It boasts four unique guest rooms and suites, all named for important tradesman and merchants of old: The Sawyer, The Chandler, The Mercer and The Fawkner. At the Merchant House, you’ll also find a beautifully serene and secluded back garden and large, lovely common space on the Main Floor.

Wm Farmer

The main building is a grand 1830’s Mansard style edifice often referred to by the family name, William Farmer, as though the building itself is one of the family. Wm Farmer features seven guest rooms and suites on the floors above the restaurant and barroom. Each beautifully appointed room is named for a beloved Farmer family member: The Abigail, The Anne Marie, The Pennington, The Lee Wendell, The James Louis, The Kemp and The Margaret. The rooms vary in size, layout, décor, amenities and price point to ensure a space and experience that perfectly suits your needs and style.

The Annex Suites

Just to the other side of the main building, you’ll find two annexed suites. These suites, The Pint & The Half Pint, are perfect for families with kids or for any guests that need a little extra space and a little less walking up and down stairs. Both suites are on the ground floor, with full kitchens and more than one room to relax into, built out much more like apartments than traditional accommodations. Great for longer stays, or book both rooms for a group stay.

“This Inn is one of the best I’ve stayed not only in Hudson Valley, but one of the best in the country. Each room has it’s own character and charm. Superb room amenities and attention to detail.”
