History

A grand mansion with a view of the New York City skyline, Kykuit was home to four generations of the Rockefeller family. Today, the 40-room mansion is a historic site of the National Trust for Historic Preservation.

The mansion is located centrally in a 250 acre inner compound within the larger Rockefeller family estate. Approximately 10 Rockefeller families currently reside within the larger estate that is closed to the public. Bill Clinton, who lives just north of the estate, has taken regular runs in the State Park!
