The Dudley Observatory is the oldest non-academic institution of astronomical research in America. The Observatory offers education and outreach programs to bring the wonders of science, particularly astronomy, to people of all ages!

The Dudley Observatory’s mission is to help the public appreciate science in an approachable and enjoyable way. It houses an expansive library and artifact collection which serve as the platforms for their growing educational programs.

Events at Dudley Observatory

Dudley Observatory hosts weekly events that are open to the public. Events include Sunny Sundays featuring safe solar viewing through telescopes and solar glasses, and Evenings with the Dudley Observatory which offers planetarium shows every Thursday.
