Ice Bars

Bundle up and embrace the cold with one of the many ice bars located around Lake George. With several options to choose from, it will be hard to limit yourself to just one evening of icy fun. Luckily, you don’t have to! Each of these ice bars are open for different amounts of time over the course of the season. There is the Funky Ice Fest at Adirondack Pub and Brewery, complete with its ice piano and game table. Or visit the Polar Ice Bar at Fort William Henry, rich with live music and incredible views of Lake George.

Although made of ice, many of the bars, including the Glacier Ice Bar & Lounge at The Sagamore, the Polar Ice Bar at Fort William Henry Ice Bar, and the Ice Bar at Gaslight, have fire pits for guests to warm themselves by and enjoy. Other such amenities include ice sculptures, s’mores, live music, delicious food, games, and more!

Ice bars are some of the most entertaining ways to enjoy winter in the Adirondacks. After a long day of hitting the slopes, nothing is better than to settle down at an 18,000-pound ice lounge. The Ice Bars open this season are the Glacier Ice Bar & Lounge at The Sagamore, Forest Ice Bar at the Holiday Inn Resort, Winterfest at the Inn at Erlowest, Ice Bar at Lake George Beach Club, Polar Ice Bar at Fort William Henry Ice Bar, Funky Ice Fest at Adirondack Pub & Brewery, and Ice Bar at The Garrison.

“This is worth a trip to see even if you are not staying at the resort.”
