Cité Mémoire

During the Cité Mémoire in Old Montréal and Old Port, history comes to life every night through innovative and interactive projections.

Cité Mémoire is an art installation that is a smaller piece of a bigger project that is taking place in Montréal. An organization called Montréal en Histoires has a set goal of making the locals become more aware and involved in the history of the city. Cité Mémoire is a fine example of this goal, showing off great pieces of art that show the evolution of Montréal through “images, words, and music.”

“We visited Montreal this August and experienced the visually stunning projections occurring nightly on various buildings, alleys and other structures throughout the historic district. This was really done well and the collective city of Montreal should be very proud of itself for pulling this 375th anniversary celebration off so well. Outstanding!”
