Events – Michelangelo: A Different View
From July 29 until August 23, 2021, the Albany Capital Center is displaying Michelangelo: A Different View, consisting of over 50 reproductions from the artist’s work on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel. What is especially unique about the opportunity is that even those who have been to the Sistene Chapel in person have not had the chance to get such an up close look at the frescoes as they are about 70 feet high on the ceiling. These reproductions were created on material that accurately represents the artwork allows visitors to see the details up close and truly appreciate what took Michelangelo four years to complete. This is an exhibition you will not want to miss! Purchase tickets in advance here.
In addition to Michelangelo: A Different View, the Albany Capital Center hosts other events such as the Empire Golf and Travel Expo on February 26, 2022. This event will include lessons, seminars, contests and more.
