NYC Pride

This summer, join together with others to celebrate Pride in New York City. Find support and empowerment for the strength displayed by those who have and continue to be discriminated against for their identity. Each year’s Pride events commemorate the Stonewall Uprising of 1969 — the beginning of the modern Gay Rights movement.

New York City Pride 2023: Strength in Solidarity

Every year, millions of people travel to New York City in order to relish in the events of NYC Pride. The theme of NYC Pride 2023 is “Strength in Solidarity.” This year’s theme highlights the cultural significance of the LGBTQIA+ community within the fabric of modern society, while acknowledging every individual’s uniqueness and ability to wield tremendous power when united with others. NYC Pride seeks to illuminate the good that can and has been accomplished through uplifting and supporting one another.

The Pride March

The annual Pride March begins on Saturday, June 25th at 12:00pm. The march is made up of mostly non-profit groups supporting different LGBTQIA+ causes. While marching, you’ll pass by the Stonewall National Monument and the New York City AIDS Memorial. Over the years, the purpose of the March has broadened to include recognition of the fight against AIDS and to remember those we have lost to illness, violence and neglect. Join others in the streets as they march to celebrate their lives and their resilient community. This event is free for all participants.

Pride Island caps off the excitement of Pride Week with an array of exuberant dancing, lights and music. Billboard #1 Remixer and Indie Music award nominee Guy Scheiman, and Mor Avrahmi, the NYC debut of resident DJ at Forever Tel Aviv, will man the turntables and keep the crowd grooving into the night. Tickets start at $139.
