Food, Fun, and More at the Food Truck Battle!
Head to the New York State Fairgrounds in Syracuse, New York for the largest gathering of food trucks in Central New York history at this year’s Food Truck Battle! Held on May 10th from 4:00 –10:00 pm and Saturday, May 11th from 11:00 am – 10:00 pm, these two days are guaranteed to be deliciously fun-filled!
Attendees can cast their vote for their favorite truck out of more than 50 locally-owned food trucks from Syracuse, Rochester, Utica, and more! Also, there will be live music performances, headlines by The Maine, an American rock band.
Not only will there be a wide variety of food available, but there will also be local artists you can peruse in the Artisan Village, craft beers and wine slushies, low-cost food samples from every food truck at $3 to $5, as well as full-menu items, yard games, and the Kidzone for families. The Kid Zone will feature face painting, GelBalls, and Right Mind Syracuse as well as bouncy houses, balloon animals, magic shows, and more!
Additionally, ten organizations will be present to vend and promote their causes at the Food Truck battle and three local non-profits will be chosen to receive a portion of all ticket sales, so your enjoyment is going toward a good cause!
Friday, May 10th is country night! Enjoy performances from Country Swagg, Custom Taylor Band, Steven Cali Band, and Just Joe. Then, on Saturday, May 11th The Maine is headlining, but there will be performances by Dangerous Type, Seven Wonders, Name Brand Cover Band, The Comb Down, Jess Novak Band, and McCardle & Westers.

Presale for the Food Truck Battle is taking place until May 3 and the prices are as follows:
General Admission (12+): $5.00
Music Lovers VIP (Friday): $15.00
Music Lovers VIP (Saturday): $30.00
VIP tickets include festival admission, presale line access, and access to exclusive VIP areas in front of the stage and the VIP tent with covered seating.
Tickets will then be available leading up to the event for a slightly higher cost:

Music Lovers VIP (Saturday): $40.00
Kids under 12 are free

The New York State Blues Festival is one of the largest music events in the Northeast. In 2024, the three-day annual festival is returning to provide music lovers with a fun and exciting blues experience. From June 13-15, mark your calendars for an unforgettable experience.
The festival invites blues artists to perform their music for crowds of fans at Chevy Court in the NYS Fairgrounds in Syracuse, New York. This event is a must-see attraction for anyone who enjoys music and wants a fun weekend getaway. Aside from the festival itself, the event organizers prioritize using blues music as a form of community outreach with programs like Blues in the Schools and Blues Ignition. The festival strives to protect, preserve, and promote blues music and culture while educating on the role of blues in the development of popular music in the United States and around the world
Attending the Blues Festival
One of the largest free music festivals in the Northeast, this festival is open to the public and people of all ages. The event organizers seek to cultivate a fun experience for all visitors and festival-goers are allowed to come and go as they please. There are VIP Packages available that include a fully catered dinner each night, plus lunch on Saturday, beer and wine, non-alcoholic drinks, snacks, and preferred seating during the festival. Join the largest car show in the Northeast at the Syracuse Nationals on July 19 – 21, 2024. This Central New York tradition hosts over 8,000 classic vehicles, including hotrods, customs, classics, rat rods, and trucks. The New York State Fairgrounds presents not only thousands of cars but many unique events that celebrate America’s rich history of car shows.
Participants and their rides will be in the running for several awards of various prestige, from the weekend’s coveted Winfield Award (worth $10,000) to the Designer’s Dozen, a special prize handed out by celebrity guest judges. Proud car owners can register for the show online before the festivities commence.

In addition to the plethora of vintage cars, the Syracuse Nationals offers special events and activities.
There will be a Mini National Model Car Show with adult and youth classes, free entry, trophies for 1st – 3rd place, and a special award for Best in Show. For the first time, check out the world’s first and only fan-built replica of the Optimus Prime truck from Transformers: Age of Extinction, a project led by a day for the sole purpose of inspiring his son. Check out the Charity Brush Fest to see the work of some of the best pinstripe and airbrush artists from all over the world, with an auction of items on Friday and Saturday with money raised to benefit the Ronal McDonald House of Central New York. Women’s World is a collection of over 50 craft/family-oriented vendors and merchandise displays featured in the Art & Homes Center. These are only a few of the incredible events at this year’s show!

Nationals kick off on Friday, July 19, and close on Sunday, July 21. Visitors can choose to either stay in one of several nearby hotel accommodations promoted by the Nationals or to spend the weekend camping at the Burdick’s RV Center Campgrounds.
