The Amsterdam-Pattersonville Trailway

The new, five-mile trailway between Amsterdam and the Rotterdam hamlet of Pattersonville, and latest addition to the Empire State Trail.

The new, five-mile trailway between Amsterdam and the Rotterdam hamlet of Pattersonville. The new section is on a former railroad bed and is entirely off-road. It is the latest addition to the Empire State Trail, Governor Andrew Cuomo’s initiative to build a 750-mile recreation trail across the entire state.

Come to the new recreational trail to the paved trail. The trail passes through woods, along rock cuts, crosses two streams on bridges.
