What is the Downtown Troy ChowderFest?
ChowderFest is Troy’s signature fall food event, with restaurants from all over the city, showcasing their best and most creative chowder recipes. Explore the historic Downtown district as you sample chowder and other delicious treats from a variety of restaurants and vendors. This free event is the perfect way to savor the season. Warm your stomach and your soul one flavorful cup at a time!
What to expect at Downtown Troy ChowderFest
Watch Downtown Troy come alive during ChowderFest! Businesses in downtown serve chowder directly from their storefronts while vendors from outside of the area partner with downtown businesses. At all participating locations, samples are sold for $2 per 4oz cup, so be sure to bring your appetite! After sampling, cast your vote for your favorite chowder and see who takes home the top prize. Last year, Bootleggers on Broadway came in first with its unique roasted poblano and sausage chowder.
Not into chowder? No problem! This event also features food offerings beyond chowder as well as live entertainment, giveaways and craft vendors. This all-ages event is perfect for the whole family!
