    A Rhinebeck Dining Destination

Terrapin Restaurant brings together local ingredients, globally inspired flavors and a historic setting for a memorable Hudson Valley dining experience. The restaurant’s main Dining Room occupies the former Rhinebeck First Baptist Church, built in 1825, with soaring cathedral ceilings, tall windows and views of the village.

For a more casual experience, the Red Bistro & Bar serves lunch, dinner and late-night fare, including its award-winning Hudson Valley Cattle Company burger, nachos, quesadillas, seasonal salads and shareable dishes. The bar also offers New York State craft beers, creative seasonal cocktails and an award-winning wine list.

Spacious patio dining area with black tables and chairs, circular windows, potted plants, and skylights letting in natural light—perfect for relaxing and enjoying the serene atmosphere near Riverlink Park. No people are present.

    Dining & Outdoor Spaces

Terrapin offers several ways to enjoy a meal. The Dining Room is open nightly for dinner and features larger entrées made with local and organic ingredients whenever possible. Reservations are recommended, with dressy casual attire suggested.

The Red Bistro is more relaxed and doesn’t require reservations. During warmer months, guests can also dine on the front patio or beneath Terrapin’s covered pavilion. The pavilion features retractable sides, fans and radiant heaters, allowing outdoor dining to continue through more of the year.

Terrapin also hosts seasonal events, including Thursday night trivia on the pavilion. Private dining and group events are available, with options ranging from prix fixe lunches and dinners to private buyouts.
