    The park also serves as a gateway to the Mohawk Valley Gateway Overlook, a pedestrian and bicycle bridge that crosses the Mohawk River. Visitors can walk across the bridge for river views while exploring interpretive displays about Amsterdam’s history, culture and connection to the Erie Canal.

    Riverlink Park hosts community events throughout the warmer months, including a free Summer Concert Series, festivals, fireworks and other seasonal programming. The park’s waterfront setting makes it a popular gathering place for live music and community celebrations.

    The park is also part of Amsterdam’s recreational and boating network. Visitors traveling the Mohawk River and Erie Canal can use the park’s boat dock, which provides fresh water and electrical service. Docking also includes access to bathrooms, showers and laundry facilities.

    Take Amtrak to Riverlink Park

    Take Amtrak’s Empire Service to Amsterdam Station, located at 466 West Main Street. From the station, Riverlink Park is approximately a 10-minute drive or taxi/rideshare trip. Visitors can also explore downtown Amsterdam and connect to the Mohawk Valley Gateway Overlook from the park.
