    What is The Brewster Inn?

    Situated in the quaint village of Cazenovia, The Brewster Inn is a luxury inn housed within a 19th-century mansion. The residence was built in 1890 as a summer home for Benjamin Brewster, a wealthy investor and one of the original Standard Oil partners. The property’s spacious lawns, intricate woodwork, vintage decor and serene, lakeside setting make it a gorgeous place to stay in Central New York during any season. Today, the Inn combines the opulence of the Gilded Age with modern comforts. Just steps away from the charming shops and cafes of downtown Cazenovia, The Brewster Inn is ideally located for romantic escapes and weekend getaways.

    What to Expect at The Brewster Inn

    The Brewster Inn features a variety of uniquely-styled guestrooms, each reflecting the mansion’s vintage character. Rooms are available in both the main house and the carriage house with several rooms featuring canopy beds, private balconies, fireplaces, jacuzzi tubs and scenic views of Cazenovia Lake or the Inn’s manicured grounds. Antique furnishings, in addition to preserved aspects of the house’s original structure like wooden beams and cathedral ceilings, create a timeless, cozy atmosphere.

    No stay is complete without grabbing a meal at The Brewster Inn’s fine dining restaurant. The menu focuses on seasonal ingredients and expertly crafted dishes, complemented by an extensive wine list. Guests can enjoy dinner in the elegant dining room or on the patio overlooking the lake during the warmer months. Visitors can also explore the Inn’s beautiful lakeside grounds, complete with Adirondack chairs, private docks and a gazebo.

    Special Events and Additional Info

    The Brewster Inn hosts a range of special events throughout the year, including holiday dinners and seasonal gatherings. The Inn’s restaurant hosts 4 course dinners and all-you-can-eat buffets for holidays such as New Year’s Eve, Easter, Mother’s Day and more. Check the Inn’s website for the latest details. The restaurant also hosts Brunch with Santa on Sundays during December and a Winter Wine Series during January and February.

    Pets are not allowed. During the months of May through October, the Inn enforces a two night minimum on weekends. Reservations for the restaurant are strongly recommended.
