Founded in 2003, Old Friends began with its Georgetown, KY location and grew from a leased paddock to a herd of over 175 rescued and retired horses, and satellite locations. The New York location, Old Friends at Cabin Creek was opened in 2009.

Old Friends at Cabin Creek works to provide dignified retirement for all racehorses, both known and unknown. They are open to the public year round with many special events during track season.

Old Friends at Cabin Creek is proud to allow visitors to look into the faces of the amazing horses, hear their stories and achievements, watch them frolic in their spacious pastures, so that they realize horses deserve to live out their retirement years in peace.
