True to its name, much of the produce used at Next Door comes straight from the team’s own garden located on Science Street in Ballston Spa, bringing a literal farm-to-table experience to every dish. In addition, the team prides themselves in sourcing other ingredients from local farms and small-scale producers. At Next Door you’ll find comfort food favorites with a modern twist as well as a unique wine list that prioritizes family owned, small-production houses.
Next Door is the perfect spot for a romantic date night or to celebrate your next special occasion. With its hanging vintage Edison lights, brick accent walls and locally reclaimed barn wood, the restaurant’s modern farmhouse aesthetic contributes toward a cozy, welcoming atmosphere. On the menu you’ll find hearty yet innovative meals. Try “The Best Fried Chicken”, served with a side pimento mac & cheese, bacon braised greens and a buttermilk biscuit. The menu also offers a large variety of gluten-free dishes, including Crab & Ricotta Fritters and Shrimp & Grits. Be sure to leave room for dessert—indulge in a Lavender Crème Brûlée or a Cider Donut Bread Pudding paired with a delicious dessert wine.
The menu at Next Door changes seasonally to reflect the best of what local farms have to offer. Reservations are recommended, especially on weekends.
