K-Plate

Beginning as a small food cart, K-Plate's dishes build off traditional Korean barbecue flavors. Portions are hearty at modest prices.

K-Plate began as a small food cart in December 2015 by two students at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. The eatery developed to fill the need for good off-campus eateries close to the college.

Dishes build off traditional Korean barbecue flavors. Visitors can expect dishes with foods such as beef bulgogi, which translates to fire meat. K-Plate’s flavors feature marinades of soy sauce, sugar, sesame oil, garlic, pepper, scallions, and ginger.

Because K-Plate was created to provide students cheap and tasty meals, prices are low and portions are filling!

“There really isn’t anything not to love about K-Plate. The employees are always friendly and kind, the food is very reasonably priced and delicious, and you can either get takeout or stay and eat in.”
