Buffalo, N.Y. is home to the famous and delicious Buffalo style chicken wings. On this trail you can get your dozen wings at more than a dozen different restaurants, pubs and bars. Each stop is bound to make your mouth water with several different Buffalo style food options.

The iconic Anchor Bar, who started it all in 1964, is among one of the 13 stops along the trail. This stop in particular is a must-see for Buffalo wing lovers who enjoy a little piece of history. Amid the other delicious stops are Elmo’s Bar & Restaurant, Duff’s Famous Wings, Glen Park Tavern, Cole’s Restaurant, Lenox Grill, Gabriel’s Gate, Gene McCarthy’s / Old First Ward Brewing, Blackthorn Restaurant & Pub, Doc Sullivan’s, Bar Bill Tavern, Mammoser’s Tavern & Restaurant and Nine-Eleven Tavern. Each stop has its own repertoire of unique Buffalo style wings and a surplus of other flavorful dishes.

Many of the restaurants and bars offer a variety of Buffalo style entrees and appetizers that surpass your typical Buffalo wings. Some of these include Buffalo chicken sandwiches, salads and even seafood options. If you’re an adventurous eater, be sure to check out the wide range of unique chicken wing variations like extra hot sauces, Sicilian style or peanut butter and jelly.
