Established in 1910, Goold Orchards is the oldest family owned apple farm in the Capital Region. Right in the heart of beautiful Goold Orchards resides the Brookview Station Winery offering award winning wines.
Brookview Station Winery
Just 10 minutes from downtown Albany in rustic Castleton, NY, Brookview Station produces and bottles fourteen different wines from estate grown grapes and fruit. In Brookview’s tasting room, visitors will also find delicious Joe Daddy’s Hard Cider on tap made using apples grown right on Goold Orchards. Brookview Station Winery is open year-round for wine and cider tastings and is available to host private parties, bus groups and corporate events!
Goold Orchards’ mission is to grow and sell only the highest quality apples and the freshest pressed apple cider. The farm store and bakery offers a variety of pies and desserts including cider doughnuts and doughnut holes. Call ahead to have your favorite pie baked and ready for you! During the fall season, Goold Orchards is open for pick-your-own apple and pumpkin picking.
In addition to the orchard and farm store, Goold Orchards is also home to the Goold’s Annual Apple Festival & Craft Show held Columbus Day weekend. The two-day autumn festival is one of the largest in the Northeast and includes live music, wine tent, hay rides, kids activities and craft tables.
“This place is cheerful and the staff is very helpful and friendly. The wine is excellent – we ended up buying more than a case. This is definitely a worthwhile jaunt to take for a pleasant afternoon.”
