Dinosaur, less than ten minutes by Uber or Lyft from the Amtrak station, offers a menu with some delectable decisions to make. Options include the “Power Couple”—prime brisket and pork Memphis sliders on potato rolls; and brisket cheesesteak— chopped brisket, tangy onions, poblano peppers, original barbecue sauce and melted cheddar on a pressed long roll. Excuse me, waiter, more napkins please!

Also a less-than-ten-minute ride share from Rochester Station, the George Eastman Museum is housed in the estate of George Eastman, the late founder of Kodak. The museum dates to 1947 and houses some 400,000 photographs, 28,000 motion pictures and millions of cinematic objects, including scripts and musical scores.

Beer anyone? The Genesee Brewing Company, one of the largest and oldest continuously operating breweries in the US, welcomes visitors for tours, tastings, a bar and restaurant.

After sipping and noshing, head over to the Blue Cross Arena at the War Memorial, which hosts a range of events, including the Stars on Ice 2026 Tour May 5, Fantasia and Anthony Hamilton May 8 and Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live June 20-21.

Rochester also has its very own “Field Of Dreams.” ESL Ballpark, the former Innovative Field, is home to the Minor League Baseball Rochester Red Wings. The Triple-A affiliate of the Washington Nationals is the oldest non-Major League team in the US. ESL Ballpark is a seven-minute ride from Rochester’s Amtrak station.
Time to call it a day? The Hyatt Regency Rochester hotel and Hilton Garden Inn Rochester Downtown are both four-minute rides from the station. And both will provide a space for rest and relaxation when you finish conquering Rochester.
