Stay in a historic former synagogue turned boutique hotel in the heart of Syracuse’s University Hill neighborhood, just steps from Syracuse University.
Hotel Skyler Syracuse, Tapestry Collection by Hilton combines historic architecture with modern hotel amenities. Located at the edge of the Syracuse University campus, the 58-room hotel features distinctive architectural details and is within walking distance of Marshall Street, campus attractions and nearby restaurants. The property also offers complimentary Wi-Fi, parking, a fitness center and an on-site restaurant and bar.

The building that now houses Hotel Skyler was constructed in 1921 as Temple Adath Yeshurun, a synagogue serving Syracuse’s Jewish community. After the congregation moved to a new location in 1968, the building stood largely unused for decades before being transformed into a hotel.
Hotel Skyler opened in 2011, preserving many of the building’s historic architectural features while creating a modern boutique hotel. Syracuse University purchased the property in 2024, and the Woodbine Group continues to manage it as a hotel.

Hotel Skyler offers 58 guest rooms across three floors, including suites with distinctive layouts and architectural details. Guests have access to a 24-hour fitness center, complimentary Wi-Fi and on-site parking. A complimentary airport shuttle to Syracuse Hancock International Airport is also available based on availability.
The hotel’s lobby bar serves à la carte breakfast, including hot breakfast sandwiches, yogurt parfaits and steel-cut oatmeal. Light fare and coffee from local partner Salt City Coffee are also available throughout the day.
The hotel’s location makes it a convenient base for exploring Syracuse University, the University Hill neighborhood and nearby attractions. Downtown Syracuse and Armory Square are also a short distance away.
