Although the Fort is temporarily closed until June 30th due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the museum has taken to virtual programming. By doing so, they are providing visitors with resources to learn about the Fort’s history while following social distancing measures. Through the Center for Digital History, the museum is bringing its award-winning educational programs to your homes. Participate in the virtual and interactive programs that teach the stories of those living at Ticonderoga in the 18th Century. In addition, you can view the thousands of artifacts, videos and other educational resources to get the full experience of the Fort online.

These programs are open to the public and there is no fee to participate in the activities. Simply visit the museum’s Center for Digital History page to start your virtual historical experience today!
Participating in the virtual activities
This virtual showcase is open to the public and free to view! Being grouped by age, visitors can find activities ranging from building a 1776 Soldier’s Hut to 1774 A Soldier’s Mess Cooking Activity. Learn about a soldier’s life with lessons about personal equipment, food and clothing.
