Celebrate the culture, history, resilience and strength of Harlem virtually this year! Overtime, this event, which is in its 46th year, has grown to be a month-long tribute to Harlem’s rich culture and neighborhoods. This event highlights the commonalities between the neighborhoods throughout the borough. In addition, it provides those with varying races, beliefs, and cultures an opportunity to express their different lifestyles. Overall, the event’s main focus is to show pride in the diversity, history and growth of Harlem throughout the years.

Attending the Event

This exciting virtual event is open to the public and is held throughout the week of August 16th to the 23rd. Participating in the Event

HARLEM WEEK is one of the largest cultural celebrations in the country and highly recognized around the world. With over 111 events, including conferences, seminars, sports, music, food and dance, this celebration uplifts your spirits. Although COVID-19 has caused the event to go virtual, over three million people visit the borough to join in on the celebration in years past. People travel from all around the world to experience the culture, address society’s pressing issues and celebrate Harlem.
