History of the National Baseball Hall of Fame
Located in the historic town of Cooperstown, New York, the Baseball Hall of Fame opened June 12, 1939 to commemorate some of baseball’s biggest stars. Since then, however, the museum has grown into something much more. The museum is home to more than 40,000 three-dimensional artifacts used to tell the story of America’s pastime. Visitors can view bats, balls, gloves, uniforms and more, that were donated by players with the intent of keeping the history of the game alive.
Virtual Programming and Digital Collections
Visit the museum in person or virtually and learn about the game’s history! Offering digital collections, virtual programming, online exhibits and activities for kids, the museum is still bringing the best of the game to you. Virtual programming involves different activities, such as baseball trivia, pop culture through baseball cards, virtual lessons of baseball legends and more. If you are looking for a more informative experience, take a look at the online exhibits and educational programs. Be sure to visit the museum’s website to learn more about all that they have to offer.
