Head to New York City for Macy’s annual Flower Show, a tradition for over 70 years. This two-week long event lasts from March 24 to April 7 in Macy’s Herald Square store.

This year’s theme is Journey to Paradisios – Operation: Inspiration where you can expect to see out-of-this-world floral exhibits that represent outer space. The show is free to all ages!

The exhibits are made from over 5,000 varieties of plants, trees, and flowers. Macy’s partners with growers from around the world, including New York. The process begins in nurseries where the flowers are cut, then sent to greenhouses in Long Island, New York.

Outer Space Inspired

Journey to Paradisios – Operation: Inspiration is a space-inspired fantasy of the discovery of the planet, Paradisios. Space flight director, Lucy Ryder, and cosmonaut, R.H. Macy IV, discover new life, extraterrestrial creatures, and exquisite flora on their adventure.

Let yourself get lost in outer space or plan your trip on Macy’s website before you go. Admire the beautiful and extravagant floral creations on each floor as you walk through the store. Check out the Orchid Forest microgarden or step into a fashion pod, perfect for a photo-op.

In addition to the show, be sure to attend the outer space inspired events. Join special guests and instructors for floral arrangement seminars, a sweet treats seminar, a fashion showcase, a paint class, and other demonstrations. You won’t want to miss it!
