An estimated 10,000 visitors are expected at the 8th annual Little Falls Cheese Festival, to be held on Saturday, Oct. 7 on Main Street in Little Falls, NY. This small city, with a storied history in the dairy industry, sits on the Erie Canal and was once known as the Cheese Capital of the country. Considered to be the state’s premier gathering of cheesemakers, visitors can sample and buy various New York State cheeses—more than 120 varieties— from hard cheeses, like Gouda,  Cheddar and havarti to soft cheeses, goat cheeses, cheese curds, yogurts, and more. Numerous New York-based gourmet food and craft beverage vendors and the Food Truck Food Court will also be on hand to complement the cheeses. 

Several vendors will be selling cheese curds from cows and goats milk, cheese crisps, cheesecake, and assorted dips or spreads. Yogurt, regular and Greek, will be for sale, as well as various parfaits.

Music and entertainment will be showcased all along Main Street and there will even be a free, cheese-themed play. Free shuttle busses will run all day for ease of parking.

Entertainment

The Little Falls Cheese Festival will be held on Main Street and blocked off to traffic, allowing guests to freely travel the street in search of the finest cheese. While roaming the festival, visitors will be accompanied by regional talent. Scattered along Main Street, musicians will be performing at various times throughout the day. A schedule of artists can be found at the festival website, as well as their set locations for the festival. Festival programs will be provided the day of and will include a map and all necessary information.
