Winter Carnival

The winter carnival is an annual, month long event held every weekend in February. Each year the village of Lake George hosts the carnival at various locations in the area. Different events are hosted every day throughout each weekend. The four weekends typically host around 13 or more events, including activities such as wood carving, karaoke, cook-offs and much more. Each weekend has activities for people of all ages. Many of the events are hosted every weekend on both Saturday and Sunday, such as Bonfire on the Beach and Pony Rides in Shepard Park Beach.

Attending the Carnival

The carnival is open to the public with mostly free admission. All of the events that take place every weekend will be free to the public. Check out the organizer’s website to see which select events will have ticket prices. Events, such as the Cook-Offs, Hot Chocolate Bar at the Beach and the Souvenir Tents come at varied prices.

Participating in the Winter Carnival

The carnival is family oriented and has a plethora of events and activities each weekend. Carnival goers can enjoy various food and drinks at the Hot Chocolate Bar, Cook-Offs and S’mores at the Beach. There is a different cook-out each weekend, including Chili, BBQ, Chowder and Chicken Wing Cook-Offs. For competitive visitors, the carnival hosts many tournaments and races, such as Car Races on Ice, Youth Hockey and Cornhole Games. Attendees should check out the Souvenir Tent to take a carnival keepsake home.
