Halloween at Ashokan

Kids of all ages welcome! Enjoy a day of dressing up a day before Halloween and participate in many of the spooky activities offered!

What is Halloween at Ashokan?

It’s a day full of fun! This event is located at Ashokan Center and takes place on Sunday, October 30th, and starts at 10 am and goes till 2 pm. There you can explore the campus and see all the activities they have planned! They have a spooky scavenger hunt and live birds of prey show. Dress your best because there’s a costume contest being hosted! There will also be chili, chips, cookies, and some hot apple cider available! Just to note pets of any kind are not allowed on site, so be sure to leave your furry friend at home.

Schedule of Events:

10:00 am: Spooky and historic scavenger hunt begins

12:00 pm: all-ages costume contest parade starts also featuring live music

1:00 pm: from Ravensbeard a live birds of prey show

Adults and Kids: $10

Kids 5 and under: Free

Besides Halloween at Ashokan, the Ashokan Center is a hub for music, education and fun. The center is renowned for hosting musical events, like the Hoot, as well as offering music and dance camps.

Get picked up from Rhinecliff Station and taken to your reserved NYTRAIN Enterprise Rent-a-Car. Click here to reserve your car or call the local Kingston Enterprise office today at: 845-336-4700. Enterprise will pick you up at the Rhinecliff Station provided you make a reservation 24 hours in advance and they are open during the scheduled pick-up time. Their hours of operation are Monday-Friday 7:30 am – 5:30 pm, but the last pick-up time is 4:30 pm.

The Kingston Enterprise office is approximately a 30 minute drive to/from The Ashokan Center. Enterprise will also shuttle you back to the Rhinecliff station after you return your car, schedule permiting, duing their hours of operation. If you return your rental while the office is closed, the office offers a key drop but you will need to schedule a ride share or taxi back to the Rhinecliff station.

If you prefer not to rent a car, Uber, Lyft and taxi service should be available from the station. It is approximately 26 miles or a 40 minute drive from Rhinecliff Station to The Ashokan Center.
