Clearwater’s Great Hudson River Revival

Clearwater’s Great Hudson River Revival Festival is a great way to enjoy music, dance, storytelling, and family-orientated activities. On Saturday, June 15 and Sunday, June 16, you and your family and friends will have the opportunity to participate in the fun and watch over 36 performances, including Jeff Tweedy, The Mavericks, Ani DiFranco, and Rhiannon Giddens.

Aside from live performances, there are also events for children and learning activities. While clowns, mimes, and acrobats parade around the festival grounds putting on a show, you can take the opportunity to learn the art of juggling. After you perfect your juggling, you can visit the Family Stage for performances targeted towards children, or you can visit the Children’s Area to get your face painted and make a mask.

Environmental Events at Clearwater’s Great Hudson River Revival

The Discovery & Tideline Education Tents feature interactive educational exhibits and displays, including Hudson River fish and macroinvertebrates. In the tents, you will have the opportunity to learn more about the Hudson River watershed and touch a hog choker. Next, you can embark on beach combing and river seining, allowing you to see what creatures call the river home and then release them back from where they came. The festival also has opportunities to walk along the river’s edge and learn about the stories of found objects from a guide.

Clearwater’s Great Hudson River Revival Ticket Information

There are four ticket options: Saturday, Sunday, a weekend pass, and a weekend plus camping pass. Children 11 and under get in for free, and youth 12-17 have access to a special Youth Ticket. Senior tickets are available for those over the age of 65. If you’re too eager to wait, early riser tickets are being sold until April 20.

The Mission of Clearwater’s Great Hudson River Revival

By joining in on the fun, you are also aiding the efforts of a great cause. The Great Hudson River Revival is produced by the nonprofit, member-supported, environmental organization Hudson River Sloop Clearwater, Inc. Hudson River Sloop Clearwater, Inc. was instrumental in landmark environmental laws, both state and federal, including the Clean Water Act and the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPAs) decision to remove PCBs from the Hudson River.

All of the proceeds from the festival go directly to support Clearwater’s environmental research, education, and their advocacy efforts to help preserve and protect the Hudson River and its tributaries. The funds and awareness raised through the event have helped Hudson River Sloop Clearwater, Inc. support the Hudson River for over forty years.
