The Big Apple Barbecue and block party was created out of a deep appreciation for the tradition, culture, and low-and-slow mantra of real-pit barbecue. The 2018 festival features an incredible lineup of Chefs and Pitmasters–the best of the best from New York City and around the country. See the entire Flatiron neighborhood transform before your eyes into a barbecue lover’s paradise, reminiscent of the good ol’ days of block parties with good friends. 

The 2018 lineup includes legendary masters of the ‘cue like, Ash Fulk, Bill Durney, Rodney Scott, Mike Mills, Amy Mills, and many more!

Live Music at the Big Apple Barbecue

As if mouth-watering barbecue and drinks weren’t enough to entice you, the Big Apple Barbecue is also known for its exciting live music. Talented musicians and singers will be serenading the streets while you chow down throughout the entire weekend, making this celebration even more epic. Big Apple Barbecue’s unique mission of celebrating the best of barbecue while throwing the ultimate summer street party has turned it into one of the most anticipated events in Manhattan. In addition to all of the amazing grub, drink and music, guests can feel good about the proceeds benefiting the Madison Square Park Conservancy. Big Apple Barbecue has already donated over $1 million to Madison Square Park Conservancy to support its beautiful gardens, amenities, and world-class art and civic programming.

Tickets for the Big Apple Barbecue

The Big Apple Barbecue Block Party is a free event. People of all ages are welcome to join in Madison Square Park throughout the weekend for free live performances, children’s programming, sampling, product demonstrations, and more. Barbecue, beer, wine, sides, and dessert are available on a first-come, first-served basis (they accept Apple Pay, cash, and credit), so be sure to check out their festival passes if lines aren’t your thing.
