The Americu Syracuse Arts and Crafts Festival is a three-day art festival in Syracuse, NY. This year marks the 49th anniversary featuring works from 160 individuals from across the U.S. and Canada. The festival features works from artists across the country, live music, multi-cultural performances, summer refreshments and participatory events. One of the premiere attractions of Syracuse Artsweek, Americu Syracuse Arts and Crafts Festival attracts more than 50,000 people each year. Admission to the festival is free, and it runs July 26, 27 and 28.

Attending the Arts and Crafts Festival

The festival is open to the public and there is no entrance fee. There will be food and drink vendors in addition to the exhibiting artist’s booths at the event which is in the historic Columbus Circle in downtown Syracuse.

Participating in the Arts and Crafts Festival

The festival is family oriented with a variety of activities like the street painting competition, which can be signed up for in advance through The Syracuse New Times at 315-422-7011. Visitors can purchase certain pieces and there will be awards given to outstanding pieces—$4,000 to the winning pieces! Categories of artwork for the awards include: ceramics, fabric and fiber, glass, jewelry, leather, metal, wood, painting, graphics, drawing, sculpture and photography.
