Albany Tulip Festival
Spend your weekend surrounded by the bright colors and festive activities of the Albany Tulip Festival.
The Capital Region of Albany invites you to surround yourself with a sea of tulips this Mother’s Day weekend. The festival celebrates Albany’s heritage as the oldest Dutch settlement in America with girls in authentic Dutch costumes.
The cultural weekend will feature over 150 kinds of tulips, fine arts exhibits, live music, entertainment and more. As over 100,000 tulips bloom before your eyes, you can listen to nationally acclaimed musical artists and grab a bite to eat. Some activities also include the tradition of street scrubbing, the Tulip Queen Coronation, Tulip Festival Luncheon and Carillon Concert. There are also family-friendly activities in the KidZone.
Parking for the festival is free in three different lots. Regular parking can be found on the Elk Street and Eagle Street lots, and handicap parking is available in the Albany Medical Center lot. Free shuttles will run from these spots to Washington Park from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
