The nearly 150-year-old tradition pits only the best three-year-old thoroughbred horses against each other. The mile-and-a-quarter derby holds the title of oldest thoroughbred race in America. The “Mid-Summer Derby” is the highlight of the summer racing season at the Saratoga Race Course. $1,250,000 and glory are at stake at the Travers Stakes. August 26 marks the start of the iconic event. There is even a week-long Travers Festival leading up to the race .
Gates open at 7:00 am.

Admission: $25 in advance
