Canandaigua Lake Wine Trail

Sip, savor and explore Finger Lakes wine country along the scenic Canandaigua Lake Wine Trail, a 30-mile route connecting wineries, tasting rooms, local food, beautiful lake views and charming communities from Victor through Canandaigua to Naples.

    A Taste of the Finger Lakes

    Founded in 1990, the Canandaigua Lake Wine Trail is a nonprofit organization dedicated to showcasing the region’s award-winning wines, food, agriculture and hospitality. The trail stretches approximately 30 miles through the Finger Lakes, with stops ranging from small family-run wineries and lakeside tasting rooms to restaurants, shops and other local attractions.

    Visitors can create their own itinerary and spend an afternoon, full day or weekend exploring the area. The trail is especially scenic during harvest season, when the vineyards take on vibrant fall colors and wineries celebrate the grape harvest with tastings, live music and seasonal events.

    Wineries & Tastings

    The trail features nine participating members in 2026, including Acquilano Wine Cellars, Arbor Hill Grapery & Winery, Barrel Necessities at Randall Standish Vineyards, Hazlitt Red Cat Cellars, Heron Hill Tasting Room at Canandaigua Lake, Hometown Wine Company, Hotel Canandaigua, Inspire Moore Winery and Song Hill Winery.

    For an easy way to sample the trail, visitors can purchase the 2026 Wine Tasting Passport. The mobile passport costs $60 and provides access to exclusive tastings and discounts at participating locations, with a stated value of $110. The passport is valid through Dec. 31, 2026.

    Throughout the year, wineries host live music, winemaker events, food pairings and seasonal celebrations. September is particularly popular, with harvest activities throughout the region and the annual Naples Grape Festival, held Sept. 26–27, 2026.

    Take Amtrak to Canandaigua Lake Wine Trail

    Take Amtrak’s Empire Service to Rochester’s Louise M. Slaughter Station, then continue to Canandaigua by rental car, taxi or rideshare. The wine trail stretches through several communities, so having transportation is recommended when visiting multiple wineries. Be sure to designate a driver or arrange a tour when planning a tasting-focused trip.
