Walkway Over the Hudson State Historic Park is located within walking distance of the Poughkeepsie Amtrak station in Poughkeepsie. Most visitors can reach the entrance to the walkway in about 10 to 15 minutes on foot.

The bridge is one of the most iconic attractions in the Hudson Valley and stretches more than a mile across the Hudson River. Originally built as a railroad bridge in the late 19th century, it has been transformed into the longest elevated pedestrian bridge in the world.
