The Amtrak station serving Albany is located just across the Hudson River in Rensselaer. Downtown Albany is approximately 1.5 miles from the station and can typically be reached in five to ten minutes by taxi or rideshare.

Many visitors take a short ride across the Dunn Memorial Bridge to reach the city center, where most of Albany’s museums, restaurants, and historic landmarks are located.
