Located in Hudson, New York, just steps away from Warren Street, Upper Depot Brewing Co. offers craft beers in a renovated historic train station.
The 19th century train station sat abandoned for years until being revamped in 2022 by lifelong friends Aaron Maas and Monty Bopp. During the renovation process, aspects of the historic buildings’ vintage architecture were preserved, allowing the space to achieve a modern-industrial aesthetic.
The Upper Depot Brewing Co. is the perfect addition to your next Hudson Valley bar crawl, serving the best craft beers in a community-minded environment where its team is passionate about brewing. Currently on tap are a selection of nine, unique and freshly brewed beers. For sandwiches and small bites, the Whale Belly Food Truck is onsite. Guests are also encouraged to support other local restaurants and are welcome to order in or carry in as they please.
With high- vaulted ceilings, exposed brick and visible steel brewery tanks and equipment, the repurposed building allows for a timeless vibe. Upper Depot also offers expansive outdoor seating with a wraparound deck reminiscent of a train platform. Enjoy a tasty beer made in-house while also savoring the building’s historic ambience.
Upper Depot’s Ollie IPA is one of its most popular and “The Juicing Room” Blueberry Sour, loaded with fresh blueberry puree, is the perfect refreshing brew to enjoy on a hot summer afternoon.
The brewery hosts trivia on the first and third Wednesday of the month with live music on Fridays and Sundays. You can also take a private tour of the brewery by appointment.
