    Established in 2023, The Mad Rose brings a swanky, sophisticated vibe to the downtown Rutland nightlife scene. In addition to an extensive wine list and draft, canned and bottled beer options, the bar specializes in signature crafted cocktails that can be made with or without alcohol. Elevated small plates and snacks are available to accompany the unique drinks. The Mad Rose’s intimate, stylish atmosphere evokes the feel of a New York City-style lounge, making it the perfect spot in downtown Rutland to enjoy a classy night out.

    With its forest green color scheme and moody lighting, The Mad Rose is the place to be for a romantic date night. The bar’s creative cocktail list includes drinks like the “Fig Easy”, a delicious concoction that features rye whiskey, VSOP brandy, fig, vanilla and fernet branca, garnished with an Italian cherry. Behind the bar, you’ll find friendly cocktail specialists who are ready to prepare your perfect bespoke beverage. Most drinks on the menu are able to be made non-alcoholic with an emphasis on maintaining the same high level of quality, meaning that even the designated driver can enjoy a thoughtfully crafted drink. Shareables like a charcuterie board, prime rib egg rolls and a hummus platter are available, plus house-made desserts like a whipped cheesecake, lemon posset and crème brûlée!
