    What is the Beekman Hotel?

The Beekman is housed within a striking 19th-century landmark building that was originally constructed in 1881 to serve as law offices. Most of the rooms in the Beekman Hotel are housed within the Temple Court Building, which is a New York City designated landmark. After falling into disuse for much of the 20th century, the building’s architectural beauty was eventually rediscovered and was transformed into this 287-room luxury hotel in 2016.

The Beekman’s historic interior centers around a breathtaking nine-story atrium, lined with eight tiers of intricate wrought-iron balconies and topped by a pyramid-shaped skylight. Designer Martin Brudnizki outfitted the hotel with cozy, eclectic decor, featuring pieces from the 1940s through the 70s. From the distressed green-painted walls to the oriental rugs draped over the reception desk, the space is curated to evoke a sense of bohemian timelessness. Step into an earlier era when you stay at this stunning 5-star hotel.

The hotel’s convenient location makes it within walking distance from many iconic NYC landmarks and important cultural sites. You are just a short walk away from the Brooklyn Bridge and the Freedom Tower as well as the 9/11 Memorial and Museum. The Beekman is the perfect home base for exploring Lower Manhattan.

A warmly lit, multi-story interior of The Beekman Hotel features ornate railings, arched windows, cozy seating areas, and a central bar on the ground floor, creating an inviting, vintage atmosphere.
