Shelter Woodstock is located in the heart of Woodstock, New York, a village made famous throughout the world for its Arts and Crafts Movement and its association with the 1969 Music festival that bore its name. The restaurant offers Argentinian-inspired bites in a cozy atmosphere after having relocated from Brooklyn in 2024.
Owned by Stephanie Ullmann, Martin Mazzoni and Diego Galarza, Shelter Woodstock’s Argentinian-influenced menu takes inspiration from Mazzoni and Galarza’s shared roots, having grown up together in Buenos Aires. Indulge in Argentine empanadas as well as other comfort food in the restaurant’s shabby-chic dining room. At Shelter Woodstock, the team is dedicated to serving not only great food but also great vibes. It’s the place to be for a cozy night-out and welcoming hospitality.
Tucked away behind one of Woodstock’s many clothing boutiques just off Mill Hill Road, Shelter Woodstock is literally a hidden gem. The restaurant’s interior oozes rustic charm with its exposed beams, antlers galore and walls teaming with firewood. Shelter Woodstock’s aesthetic takes inspiration from old ski resorts in the mountains of Argentina. In addition to its signature empanadas, some of which come stuffed with ham and Argentine cheese, Shelter Woodstock’s menu offers other specialties such as Argentinian sausage appetizers and bunuelos. Also on the menu are a variety of wood-fired pizzas, including the Bee and Love which is topped with soppressata and chili honey vinegar.

On Fridays the restaurant hosts live music, featuring local musicians from 7 to 8 pm.
