    What to Expect at Church Street Marketplace

    Spanning four, car-free blocks, this charming street is the perfect place to shop for holiday gifts! Church Street Marketplace is home to over 100 local and national retailers, ranging from shops like Banana Republic and Free People to independent bookstores, artisan craft shops, vintage boutiques and outdoor gear outfitters. Shop specialty foods like handcrafted chocolates and candies at Lake Champlain Chocolates or fresh olive oils, vinegars and more at Saratoga Olive Oil Company! The Marketplace is also home to dozens of restaurants, coffee shops and bakeries, offering plenty of places to grab a bite after your shopping excursion.

    In the winter, storefronts are decorated and the streets are adorned with garland and twinkling lights, transforming the Marketplace into a festive destination, perfect for holiday shopping. The historic architecture, including the First Unitarian Universalist Church at the northern end of the street, provides an idyllic backdrop and great location for a photo-op!

    Access to Church Street Marketplace is free. Seasonal festivals, sidewalk sales and community celebrations take place throughout the year, including Burlington’s annual holiday tree lighting.

    Dogs are welcome on the Marketplace but must remain leashed. Parking garages and lots are located within a short walking distance.
