Located in Montréal’s Rosemont–La Petite-Patrie neighborhood, Brasserie Distillerie Beauregard is a brewery specializing in dark beers.
Founded in 2018, this unique microbrewery focuses almost exclusively on crafting high-quality, dark beers. Opened by brothers Jonathan and Sébastien Coutu, the brewery’s name pays homage to the duo’s mother whose maiden name was Beauregard. The Coutu brothers decided to go against the grain when establishing Beauregard, rejecting the recent IPA trend in order to make the type of beer they are truly passionate about: dark, decadent stouts, porters and lagers. It is their hope that their brewery will act as a space for dark beer lovers to gather and savor exceptional craft beer.

Stop by Beauregard’s intimate taproom to taste some of the brewery’s latest creations. Indulge in one of the brewery’s delectable dessert stouts, from a chocolatey cream biscuit stout, brewed with crushed Oreo cookies and vanilla, to a dark, nutty coconut-pistachio stout. Other concoctions include a cacao-habanero imperial stout, brewed with grilled habanero peppers and tmavé pivo, a Czech black lager made with saaz hops. The brewery experiments with new flavors frequently, making for an exciting, ever-changing menu!

Beauregard offers free tastings on Saturdays from noon to 6 p.m.
