Xerox Rochester International Jazz Festival

Rochester is preparing for their 18th Xerox Rochester International Jazz Festival, hosting more than 325 concerts at 19 different venues.

Experience one of the nation’s most exciting music festivals of the year on June 21 – 28 when over 1,500 artists come together at the Xerox Rochester International Jazz Festival and perform entertaining concerts for thousands of people. Attend multiple shows in a day, with every venue being within walking distance of each other and tons of concerts being performed per day. Enjoy great music and learn plenty at the festival’s workshops provided for younger musicians.

Noticed as one of Rochester’s most exciting summer attractions, the Xerox Rochester International Jazz Festival will be a week of three varying types of concerts: Headliner, Club Pass and Free Shows. The headliners take place at Kodak Hall at Eastman Theatre, with doors opening 30 minutes prior to the concert. Kodak Hall will be host to performers each night such as Seal, Boz Scaggs, and Jill Scott. Tickets are available on RochesterJazz.com.

There is a series of Club Pass shows at 12 different venues throughout the week for those looking for a more budgeted price. Doors will open at these events 30 minutes prior to the listed start time, with seating being on a first-come-first-serve basis. You can either enter with Club Pass or by paying a charge of $30 at the entrance. There are no advance sales, so arriving early to these venues is critical due to frequent sell-out.

Enjoy the music outdoors free of charge at the nearly 100 outdoor shows at 7 venues. The concerts take place rain or shine. Concessions are available for food and drink at all venues. Seating is not provided, so bringing a lawn chair is highly recommended. There are free jam sessions at The Street Craft Kitchen and Bar inside of the Hyatt Regency Rochester on East Main Street. The sessions occur nightly from 10:30 with no set end time. Food and beverages are available as well.
