A World Series Debut

On September 27 – 29, 2024, three UCI World Series competitions will be making their way to Lake Placid, New York for the UCI Mountain Bike World Series. Head to Mt. Van Hoevenberg, the iconic venue in northern New York State to view eight different races. The top cyclists from around the globe will travel to compete in this prestigious event!

On September 27, there will be both the men’s and women’s Cross-Country Short Track World Cups. On the 28th watch the men’s and women’s Cross Country Olympic World Cup of which the elite will then go on to compete on the 29th. Also on the 29th will be the Cross-Country Marathon World Cup.

This will be Lake Placid’s debut on the international mountain biking stage!

UCI

UCI, or the Union Cycliste Internationale, is the world governing body for sports cycling and oversees international competitive cycling events. Founded in 1900, the UCI has 203 national federations and five continental confederations.

Lake Placid’s premiere venue in the Adirondacks is famed for hosting the Winter Olympics in both 1932 and 1980.
