Spooktacular has trick-or-treating, games and crafts—all to support the Utica Zoo.
Utica Zoo’s annual Spooktacular fundraiser returns this year rain or shine at the Utica Zoo. This year, the event will run from Oct. 23 – 24 from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. Spooktacular is an annual event that features a plethora of fun activities for the whole family. Typically, the event hosts different forms of entertainment like live music and performances like dancing, hula hooping, magic shows and comedy.

Guests are encouraged to attend the event in their best Halloween costumes. Because Spooktacular is a Halloween-themed event, you can expect Halloween games and activities. Take your children trick-or-treating at the zoo and enjoy pumpkin painting contests.
Generally, there are also food trucks, a farmer’s market and an inflatable slide. This event is perfect for people of all ages. If you’re a Halloween enthusiast this is the event for you.

Can’t get enough of Utica Zoo’s Halloween activities? Check out Beaversprite, a haunted walking trail on Oct. 16 from 2 p.m. – 7 p.m. for $5 per person. There are stations along the trail that are decorated with animal themes. Alongside this spooky trail is a Halloween scavenger hunt, and at the end of the trail, a surplus of treats will await you.
