REAL TIME REVOLUTION®
Fort Ticonderoga will commemorate the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution this summer as the conflict that shaped our nation and had a lasting impact on our world.
A three-day reenactment event on July 3-5, 2026 will recreate the Northern Continental Army’s preparations to defend its new nation, as the Declaration of Independence was signed in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
What is Real Time Revolution?
Real Time Revolution is a living-history series at Fort Ticonderoga that re-creates the Revolutionary War as it unfolded on these grounds a quarter-millennium ago—not as a single-day affair, but as an ongoing conflict that played out across four critical years, from 1774 to 1777.
Fort Ticonderoga invites visitors to do more than remember — to truly understand what was sacrificed. As part of the America 250 commemoration and Fort Ticonderoga’s groundbreaking REAL TIME REVOLUTION®, visitors will step inside the Continental Army of May 1776 — experiencing their weapons, rations, music, and daily struggle — and witness firsthand what those soldiers believed they were fighting and dying for.
