Travel Back in Time

Coming back for its 47th year, the New York Renaissance Faire of the Hudson Valley has been a beloved tradition. Every Saturday and Sunday, and Labor Day Monday, from August 17 through October 6, travel back in time to an age of adventure in Elizabethan England. Explore the fair and be brought back in time to a 16th-century English village. Witness brave knights fight at the Joust Tournament, meet Robin Hood and his Merry Band, try an array of timely treats and sweets, and run into fairies, pirates, and acrobats along the way. Over 100 artisans will be tempting you with their incredible handmade wares in the Marketplace.  

Live entertainment spans 17 different areas and streets. There will be shows by daredevil acrobats, musicians, comedians, and more. Each Wednesday evening before the weekend, a full entertainment schedule will be posted so be sure to check out the schedule for the weekend you plan to visit! 

Artisans display a sprawling selection of handmade goods. Check out glassblowers, pottery throwers, armorers, candle makers, costumers, jewelry, leather goods, instruments, soaps and scents, psychic readings, and tons more. There’s sure to be something for everybody at the faire.  

For those 21 and over, a legendary pub crawl takes place throughout the taverns of the village with stops at four pubs and a drink at each one. There are four crawls daily and tickets are $65 not including daily admission.  

Don your best attire as many visitors come in costume ranging from simple to elaborate and delve into the spirit of the Renaissance!

Special Weekends

Throughout the season, there are themed weekends to add an extra layer of fun with new twists to the typical fair experience.

August 17 and 18 will be Pirate Weekend dedicated to those who live to sing sea shanties, practice a pirate accent, or just want to join in on the swashbuckling fun! The weekend will feature a pirate costume contest, a pirate crew photo op, trivia, and special pirate-themed activities for kids.

August 24 and 25 is Marketplace weekend, dedicated to the fine goods at the shops and sellers at the Renaissance Faire. If you spend $500 at the marketplace, you will receive two tickets to return to the fair through September 22, 2024.

August 31 and September 1 and 2 are Time Traveler Weekend. Celebrate any time-traveling-esque genre like fantasy, steam-punk, or science fiction. There will be a costume contest, trivia, and kids’ games.

Admission Prices for the Renaissance Faire are as follows:

$48 Adults 

$43 Seniors (62+) and Military  

$20 Children 

Children 4 and under are free  

All tickets include entrance to the live entertainment.
