What is the American Ballet Theatre Summer Season?
American Ballet Theatre’s (ABT) Summer Season is a prestigious, five-week residency at the Metropolitan Opera House at Lincoln Center in New York City. It features 37 performances of four major, full-length classical ballets: Swan Lake, Onegin, Don Quixote, and Sylvia.
The summer residency includes world-renowned principal dancers, guest artists, and special celebratory events that include:
ABTKids: A 90-minute, family-friendly introduction to ballet on Saturday, June 27.
Celebratory Evenings: Post-performance toasts for ticketholders, honoring milestones and themes, such as Pride Night on June 30.
ABT Masters Series: A full-day immersive workshop for adult dancers, featuring technique, body conditioning and repertoire classes.
