The Wild Center

Established in 2006, the Wild Center was created to show the importance in how humans and nature coexist with one another. Being that it is nestled in the scenic Adirondack mountains, this location allows for visitors to fully experience the natural beauty of upstate New York. When visiting, you will find over 900 Adirondack animals throughout the premises, as well as hiking trails and rivers. In addition, the most notable attraction is the Wild Walk. The Wild Walk is a series of bridges that are suspended 30 feet about ground amongst the giant Adirondack trees. Through this, you can gain a new perspective of nature by seeing the panoramic views of the mountains from the treetops.

Attending the Wild Center’s Virtual Learning Experience

Although the Wild Center is temporarily closed until July 15th due to COVID-19, you can still experience the exciting attractions from your home! These virtual learning experiences are free to view and and open to anyone interested in exploring the Adirondacks. Please visit the Wild Center’s website to start your wild journey.
