Pour the Core (Discontinued in Brooklyn)
Sip on some cider this summer!
Grab your family and friends to kick off your summer with an event you won’t want to miss. Join apple lovers and cider fans at the Brooklyn Expo Center on June 9 to taste the some of the best locally-produced and internally-sourced ciders. Guests can try more than 75 styles of ciders produced by over 40 different cider makers. Attendees even receive a souvenir tasting cup to spend your day sipping.
The event will feature fan favorites from locally sourced Big Apple Cider and Original Sin, to best-selling national brands like Angry Orchard and Woodchuck Hard Cider. Also showcased will be imported ciders from Spain and England. In addition to tastings, there will be free seminars for ticket holders to learn about cider, how it is made, and simply enjoying it. Music will be played throughout the day along with food trucks with the city’s local delights.
Tickets for the event raise money for KiDS NEED MoRE, a charitable organization that dedicates itself to enhancing lives of families/young adults coping with cancer and life-threatening illnesses. These tickets are expected to sell out, so it is advised to buy them early here. The afternoon is broken up into VIP Hour and General Admission. VIP Hour runs from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. and tickets can be purchased online for $60. The GA session runs from 2:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. and tickets are $45 online. If tickets are still available at the door, VIP will be $75 and GA will be $55. Designated driver tickets are available at $12 for GA and $15 for VIP.
