Experience the holiday magic of the classic Polar Express book by Chris Van Allsburg and movie via the Adirondack Scenic Railroad Polar Express Ride in Central NY! Bring the whole family for this two-hour train ride. The journey departs from Utica’s Union Station, traveling north to the North Pole. You do not want to miss the magic of this train ride with the entire family!
What to Expect on the Adirondack Scenic Railroad Polar Express Ride
All family members are encouraged to come in their pajamas to relive the story in real life! Don’t forget to bring your cameras as well to capture the memories!
Ride in “Cocoa Class” to the North Pole
For a first-class ride, ride in the “Cocoa Class” car where the Hot Chocolate Chefs and Mrs. Claus will serve you hot chocolate and cookies in souvenir mugs. In addition, Santa will be on the train spending time with each family. He will give every child the first present of Christmas, a silver bell, just like the one the boy received in the book and movie!

The Central New York Boat Show
February 14-17, 2019 will see the return of the Central New York Boat Show in Syracuse, NY. This bi-annual nautical event will showcase over 500 brand-new models of both power and sailboats. The impressive collection of vessels includes cruisers, sports boats, pontoon boats, and personal watercraft, representing nearly all facets of the boating industry.
The largest display of boats in all of Upstate New York is found inside three sizable buildings within the New York State Fairgrounds, located on 581 State Fair Boulevard in Syracuse. The Fairgrounds, in addition to the yearly Great New York State Fair, host hundreds of non-fair attractions, drawing nearly one million people annually. The selection will be found inside the Center of Progress Building, the Horticulture Building, and the enormous Exhibit Center Building; there will be over 250,000 square feet of presentation space for the wide range of boats the show has to offer.
About the Central New York Boat Show
The February 14-17, 2019 CNY Boat Show and Sale will showcase more than 500 all-new models of power and sail boats, including cruisers, sport boats, pontoon boats, personal watercraft, and docks. Come see the largest Upstate selection of boats on display in three huge buildings at the New York State Fairgrounds. Boats will be on display in the Center of Progress, Horticulture Building, and the huge Exhibit Center Building… over 250,000 square feet of exhibit space! In-water demonstrations, NYS Boating Information Center, and much more!
Hours and Cost at the Central New York Boat Show
Patrons of the event will have access to the display starting Thursday, February 14, at 1:00 p.m. and until 9:00 p.m. Those hours will remain in place for Friday the 16th but will extend to 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. for Saturday the 16th, and from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday the 17th.
Admission to the Central New York Boat Show will be $10.00 for adults per day. Children under the age of 13 will receive free entrance to the events. Boating enthusiasts that wish to extend their visit to the show can purchase a multi-day pass, good for any day of the show, for $15.00. All parking and transportation shuttles will be provided free of charge.
Although the multi-day pass is being offered at the box-office only, in order to skip the line for regular admission visit the Central New York Boat Show’s website to purchase tickets in advance.
